and I’m the founder of Fenix Athletica and Vēra. My mission is to fuse science and soul to help you achieve lifelong transformation.
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and have my Precision Nutrition L1 certification.
I started dancing as soon as I could walk. At the age of 8, when my skills were at the top level of my class, and I was in a position to potentially move up to the professional training division at my company, my dance teacher said, “While Emily excels at technique and performance, she will never have the body of a dancer.” This statement changed how I viewed myself, my body, and my worth.
Over the coming years, I discovered strength training, which taught me to create a connection between my mind, body, and soul to create beauty for myself. I learned that I don’t need the validation of others to feel strong and beautiful and that my unique body type did have a place where it could be celebrated.
I created Vēra because I want to help others find their inner and outer beauty in a way that is empowering and reduces financial barriers. I want to use science to help people increase their confidence, discover their worth, and feel beautiful inside and out.

This program is for you if you're looking to build up your glutes + hamstrings while maintaining balance in the other parts of your physique. AKA: get ready for the glute gains
This program is for all of our home workout athletes. This program is based on 3 days of resistance training per week with 4 rest days, where you're free to participate in full rest or active rest.
This program is geared towards the intermediate to advanced lifter looking to both build muscle and add some functional strength/performance. You'll have 4 days of traditional lifting with 2 upper body days and 2 lower body days, and finish off the week with one functional day. You'll need a standard gym setup, a small range of kettlebells, and battle ropes.
