Our online fitness coaches are on a mission to show you that deep inner and outer transformation is possible with much simpler methods than you might think. Simple doesn’t mean it’ll be easy, but the transformation you seek is more accessible than you may realize. 

Our goal is not just to help you lose fat or get stronger. It’s much deeper than that! 

Ours is a team of fitness coaches who want to educate you and empower you to make decisions that support your overall health and wellness. Sure, that may include losing weight or building muscle, but we will teach you to address other factors that impact your wellness, such as your stress levels and relationship with food.

MEET EMILY DUNCAN

Hey, I’m Emily Duncan, and I’m the founder of Fenix Athletica. My mission is to fuse science and soul to help you achieve lifelong transformation. 

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and have my Precision Nutrition L1 certification. 

I started dancing as soon as I could walk, and at the age of 8, when my skills were at the top level of my class, and I was in a position to potentially move up to the professional training division at my company, my dance teacher said, “While Emily excels at technique and performance, she will never have the body of a dancer.” This statement changed how I viewed myself, my body, and my worth. 

Over the coming years, I discovered strength training, which taught me to create a connection between my mind, body, and soul to create beauty for myself. I learned that I don’t need the validation of others to feel strong and beautiful and that my unique body type did have a place where it could be celebrated.

I started Fenix Athletica because I want to help others find their inner and outer beauty. I want to use science to help people increase their confidence, discover their worth, and feel beautiful inside and out. 

I’m proud to say that I’ve created a team of fierce and passionate women who can do just that! The Fenix Athletica coaches use science-based fitness tactics with the soulful side of true wellness to help people like you live beautiful lives.

My name is Emily Oliver, and I obtained my B.S. in Dietetics at Arizona State University and my M.S. in Nutrition and Human Performance at Logan University. I also obtained certification as a NASM-CPT and a dietetic technician (DTR) through the CDR.

Hi there, I’m Kira, and I have a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. I also have an M.S. in Human Nutrition and functional medicine, am a Certified Nutrition Specialist, Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, and have been coaching since 2019.

“Going into this process, I was unsure of how difficult it would be for me to lose weight, considering I have never actually "lost weight," and the number on the scale had just continued to increase as I got older. I was very apprehensive as I am not a great cook and tended to eat out A LOT. However, Kate made it so easy to understand which foods go together well to make a meal and how much of those foods I should be eating a day to get all the vitamins and nutrients I need and at the perfect calorie amount for my body and goals. Through Kate's meal plans, I always felt full and satisfied, and I also learned the tools I needed to eat healthier AND still enjoy myself when going out to eat. In the 3 months I have worked with Kate, I have more energy, fewer stomachaches, and am seeing results on the scale! "

Not only do I give my clients the tools to succeed through their programming, but I teach them valuable skills to maintain their healthy lifestyles long into the future. “New me” is a little embarrassed of the “old me” who first came to Emily for coaching! I was so uninformed.... doing cardio and CrossFit constantly because I believed that’s what made girls fit. A lifting session was only worthwhile in my eyes if it was also metabolic. On top of that, I was eating virtually no carbs and recovering like garbage. Everything was hurting, physically and mentally. I was super hesitant when Emily suggested increasing my calories because I believed that I just needed to operate from a very low place. We also adjusted my training to emphasize strength along with some light cardio components, and I swear I felt stronger and more muscular (in a good way!) after around two weeks. Eating more food also gave me SO much more energy for my workouts as well as throughout my work day. I think the reason I love being coached by Em so much is that she actually listens to what I want. She hasn’t tried to force HER goals onto me, and she frames all of her advice in terms of what I’ve expressed wanting for myself. Having a coach that listens to your preferences and has your happiness in mind is so important! I'm way more open-minded about what works now because of it.”
