We're a team of science-driven performance coaches who specialize in building women who are the full package: physically, mentally, and in how they carry themselves through life.
Our coaches combine research-backed training and nutrition protocols with real mindset and identity work because we've learned that the physique is only part of the equation. The women who get the most dramatic, lasting results are the ones who also address what's happening between their ears: the beliefs that have been keeping them stuck, the standards they've been settling for, and the version of themselves they've been afraid to fully step into.
We treat every client as a complete person, not a set of macros. And our goal is to make you so knowledgeable, so capable, and so confident that you won't need us forever. We want to be the last coaching investment you ever make.
“I am succeeding at prioritizing my overall mental and physical health while reaching for my aesthetic goals.”
We're here to prove that a total personal transformation doesn't require complicated methods. Just the right ones, applied with precision and consistency.
Our mission goes far beyond fat loss or muscle gain. We coach women to understand the science behind their training and nutrition while also challenging them to raise their standards, confront limiting beliefs, and build the kind of self-trust that changes not just their bodies, but every area of their lives.
The physique transformation is the proof of concept. The identity transformation is the real product.
When you join Fenix Athletica, you get a team that will educate you, hold you to a higher standard, and equip you to perform at your best in the gym and in every other room you walk into.
Hey, I'm Emily Duncan, founder of Fenix Athletica. My mission is to fuse science and strategy to help women build the physiques, the confidence, and the self-belief to become the most powerful version of themselves.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louisville with a B.S. in Exercise Science and hold a Precision Nutrition L1 certification.
I started dancing as soon as I could walk. By age 8, I was at the top of my class… and that's when my dance teacher told me I'd never be a professional dancer because I didn’t have the body of a dancer. That one sentence rewired how I saw myself, my body, and my potential for years.
Finding strength training at 16 changed everything. It taught me that my body wasn't a limitation, it was a tool I could develop, push, and be proud of. I stopped measuring myself against someone else's standard and started building my own.
I started Fenix Athletica because I believe every woman deserves to know what it feels like to be strong, capable, and completely confident in her own skin, and I mean that in every sense. Not just in the gym. In how she thinks about herself. In what she believes she's worth. In the rooms she walks into on purpose. In the standards she holds for her entire life.
I've built a team of sharp, credentialed, no-nonsense coaches who deliver that transformation every day, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've created.

“Since working with Kira, I feel more empowered on my health journey and have a different mindset around healing, food, and my relationship with my body. It’s been a joy working with Kira, and I feel truly supported by her. Her support extends after our sessions, as she is sure to provide me with a detailed report about our session takeaways and suggestions and recipes for me in between sessions. What surprised me the most while working with her, in some of our sessions, we didn’t talk about nutrition once! She truly takes a holistic approach to coaching and healing, which, as a coach myself, really resonates. Working with Kira has given me a new, positive outlook on my healing journey, and I am very grateful for her and her compassionate and extensive knowledge in nutrition and holistic healing!”

I can't say enough good things about this nutrition program! Alesha provided incredible education and support, helping me make sustainable changes in my everyday life. She tailored the guidance to fit my lifestyle, making it easier to incorporate healthier habits without feeling overwhelmed. Not only have I seen a noticeable improvement in how I look, but l also feel so much better-more energized, more confident, and overall healthier. I highly recommend this program to anyone who has struggled with their weight or body image. Alesha's guidance is truly transformative!
My coaching goes far beyond a physical transformation. It’s about changing how you show up in your life as a whole. When your health is dialed in, it doesn’t just impact your body. It creates a ripple effect into everything: your relationships, your career, your confidence, and your energy.
That’s why I take an internal to external approach. You can force results from the outside for a period of time, but if your body isn’t supported internally, it will always feel harder than it needs to, and the results won’t last.
This is something I don’t just teach, I’ve lived it. After navigating adrenal fatigue, PCOS, and Hashimoto’s, I had to rebuild my body from the inside out and learn what actually works.
That’s how I coach. I work with women who are doing a lot of the “right” things, but feel like their bodies aren’t responding in return.
Instead of pushing harder or defaulting to restriction, we take a step back and look at the full picture: your metabolism, stress, recovery, cycle health, blood sugar, inflammation, daily habits, etc. Because more effort isn’t the answer. Alignment is.
We’ll focus on specific fundamentals through different phases (training, nutrition, daily movement, etc.). I’m very clear about what to expect throughout each phase, so you can stop relying on extremes and instead build something sustainable. This is when your body composition actually changes!!
But more importantly, you start showing up differently. You hold yourself to a higher standard and make aligned choices when no one is watching. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about honesty, ownership, and being willing to change what’s no longer serving you.
As your coach, I’ll meet you where you’re at. I’ll support you, but I’ll also call you forward when I know you’re capable of more. I’m not here to keep you comfortable. I’m here to help you grow. It won’t always be easy, but it will be worth it.

“Working with Sara has truly changed the course of my health and confidence. Coming in after a year of chronic stress, my body felt completely dysregulated. Through her thoughtful education, steady accountability, and constant encouragement, I’ve been able to rebuild healthy habits and unlearn so many unhelpful beliefs. My digestion is stable for the first time ever, my cycle is regulated post–birth control, and my relationship to movement and nutrition is the healthiest it’s ever been. I’m deeply grateful for her support and the sustainable progress we’ve made in all aspects of my life!”

My coaching style blends science-backed strategy with mindset work and real-life flexibility. I help women break free from limiting beliefs, all-or-nothing thinking, and restrictive rules so they can create a lifestyle that supports both their goals and their life. I lead with empathy while still holding clients to a high standard — meeting you where you are, then challenging you to step fully into the strongest, most confident version of yourself.

“New me” is a little embarrassed of the “old me” who first came to Emily for coaching! I was so uninformed.... doing cardio and CrossFit constantly because I believed that’s what made girls fit. A lifting session was only worthwhile in my eyes if it was also metabolic. On top of that, I was eating virtually no carbs and recovering like garbage. Everything was hurting, physically and mentally. I was super hesitant when Emily suggested increasing my calories because I believed that I just needed to operate from a very low place. We also adjusted my training to emphasize strength along with some light cardio components, and I swear I felt stronger and more muscular (in a good way!) after around two weeks. Eating more food also gave me SO much more energy for my workouts as well as throughout my work day. I think the reason I love being coached by Em so much is that she actually listens to what I want. She hasn’t tried to force HER goals onto me, and she frames all of her advice in terms of what I’ve expressed wanting for myself. Having a coach that listens to your preferences and has your happiness in mind is so important! I'm way more open-minded about what works now because of it.”
